COVID19 Procedures

Due to the current client booking procedures have changed. 

 

All clients must complete the COVID19 Questionnaire upon arrival to your scheduled appointment prior to entering the building. 

 

  • Have you had a cough?  

  • Have you had a fever?

  • Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?  

  • Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

 

Mask: All clients must wear a mask for the entirety of the salon visit. If you require a break from the mask, staff will escort the client out of the building to remove their mask for fresh air. The mask must be readorned prior to reentry into the building. This is non-negotiable. 

 

Gloves: Gloves are permitted at the client’s discretion. Upon entrance into the salon, the client will be escorted to the shampoo bowl for handwashing and will be provided hand sanitizer. The client must wash their hands with the gloves on and sanitize the gloves prior to touching salon furniture and equipment to prevent cross-contamination. 

 

No Gloves: Upon entrance into the salon, the client will be escorted to the shampoo bowl for hand washing and will be provided hand sanitizer. 

 

Client Servicing: Only one guest per visit. No other person(s) may accompany/enter the building with you. NO EXCEPTIONS. The current guest must exit the building before the next guest is allowed to enter. If the appointment runs into the next appointment time, the next guest must wait outside until the previous guest has exited the building. 


 

Salon JOIERE Sanitation and Disinfection Measures

 

PPE Requirements

  • Salon/shop employees will be required to wear a smock mask, face shield, and gloves at all times. Smocks and gloves are disposed of after each client. 

  • Salon/shop employees will frequently wash their hands after the use of phones, computers, POS devices. 

    • All surfaces are cleansed and disinfected between each use. 

  • Each client will be provided a fresh, clean cape. At the completion of services the cape is placed in the laundry for wash and disinfection. 

  • All retail items are cleaned and disinfected daily. 

  • Clean and wipe all door handles and other surfaces that are regularly touched by clients and staff with disinfectant wipes.


 

Disinfection

The salon is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to each client. 

  • All surfaces, tools,  chairs, head rests, arm rests appliances, sheers, clippers, clipper guards, clippies, rollers, combs, brushes, rolling carts and any other items used in connection with servicing clients. products, and linens are cleaned before and after each client.

  • Use of EPA registered disinfectants 

    • EPA registered and labeled as bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal. 

  • Disinfectant for immersion of tools prepared daily and replaced after each use. 

    • Tools are immersed for 10+ minutes per product and state board regulations.

  • All hard non-porous surfaces, glass metal and plastic are disinfected per product and state board regulations.  

  • Porous/soft surfaces are discarded after use if used at all. 

  • All linens, towels, drapes, and smocks are laundered in hot soapy water and dried completely and stored in an airtight cabinet. 

  • Up-close, direct face-to-face contact will be avoided when permissible at all times.

  • Clients are to avoid touching products that they don’t plan to purchase.

  • Avoid the exchange of cash to help prevent the spread of the virus. 

    • Use Venmo, CashApp, or Zelle to pay for services rendered where permissible.

    • Square Invoice is available for online payments via your mobile device.

    • If you cannot/do not have/use any of the above payment methods, cash is acceptable.

 Our service menu has been optimized to included essential and preventative care for the hair and scalp during this time. New sanitation and disinfection procedures has severely restricted available bookings. Services have been modified to maximize the benefits of salon services. In the coming weeks free online training and product recommendations for home hair care will be distributed in an effort to offset the adverse effects of neglect, the use of substandard products, and to ensure your hair is not compromised during self-care.
